The following steps will guide you through the first time user setup process for your ISG Azure cloud account.  You will need to use a smartphone or tablet to configure the Multi-Factor Authentication that Microsoft requires.  You also need to provide an email address that you can use to retrieve your password if you ever lose it.

Before you begin: Log off from any Microsoft accounts that may be logged in to your browser. This can be done by clicking your user account on the top right and using the sign-out option. You can also use your browser’s Incognito or Private browsing mode to avoid having to sign out from your primary Microsoft account.

Open your browser again, and navigate to http://aka.ms/ssprsetup. On the Sign in page, enter the username provided by ISG and click ‘Next‘.

Enter the temporary password provided by ISG and click ‘Sign in‘.

On the ‘Update your password‘ screen, enter your current password.  Then set a new password that you can easily remember in the ‘new password‘ and ‘confirm password‘ fields.  Click ‘Sign in‘.

On the ‘More information required‘ screen, click ‘Next‘.

Select the option for ‘Use verification code‘ and click the ‘Set up‘ button.

A QR code will appear on the screen. Leave the screen with the QR code up while you complete the next steps from a smartphone or tablet device.

On your smartphone or tablet, install the Microsoft authenticator app for Windows Phone, Android or iOS

(The following screenshots are from an Android device).

In the app, click the three dots on the top right and select ‘+ Add account‘.

On the next screen, choose “Work or school account“.

Scan the QR code that is shown on the screen using the camera within the Microsoft Authenticator mobile app.

The app should automatically complete the setup.  You’ll know it’s working when your new account is shown in the list in the app.

Back on the web browser, click ‘Next’.  Then click ‘Next’ again.

Back in the app, read the 6 digit verification code and input it on the screen (note: the code changes every 30 seconds).

Click the ‘Done‘ button.

On the ‘don’t lose access to your account!‘ page, you must configure one of the Authentication methods.  Click the ‘Set it up now’ link next to your preferred password retrieval method.

For this example, I selected the email option.  Enter the email address that you’d like to use to reset your password.  Then click ‘Email me‘.

Check the email address you provided and you should have an email from Microsoft.  Copy the code from the email.

Paste the code into the browser window.  Click the ‘Verify‘ button.

Click the ‘Finish‘ button.

Your account is now ready to use!  You can now close your browser and log back in with your normal corporate Microsoft account.

Please proceed to configure RemoteApp or access your applications using guidance provided by ISG.

NOTE:  If you are unable to login to your ISG Azure Cloud server after completing these steps, please wait about 15 minutes for the account to synchronize with ISG Azure servers.  If you still cannot get in after 15 minutes, please email or call ISG Tech Support.
