For those of us who work in and around iMIS every day, documentation is more than a reference tool. It is often the fastest way to answer a simple question, confirm how a feature works, orient a new staff member, or refresh your memory on a process you only use occasionally.
With ASI’s new Documentation Hub, ASI has brought all of its product documentation together in one centralized site: documentation.advsol.com.
The new hub has a cleaner interface, stronger search, and a more consistent experience across ASI’s product suite.
For iMIS users, the hub includes documentation for all things iMIS. It brings together product help, configuration guidance, “what’s new” information, tutorial videos, learning resources, developer documentation, marketplace information, and guidance for organizations planning or managing an upgrade to iMIS EMS.
The hub also includes documentation for other ASI solutions, including TopClass, OpenWater, and SpaceMaster, with Clowder documentation expected to be added soon.
This doesn’t change anything about your technical support.
When you have a technical issue, a question about your specific configuration, or something that needs to be diagnosed in your environment, we should still be your first call.
The Documentation Hub serves a different purpose. It gives iMIS users a way to get straightforward answers quickly. It is useful when you want to confirm a setting, review a standard feature, find official product guidance, send a tutorial to a new team member, or give staff a place to begin when they need a refresher.
Not every question needs to become a support ticket. At the same time, not every issue can be solved by searching documentation.
The value of the new hub is that it gives users a first resource, available 24/7/365, for product information.
At ISG, we have seen the same need from a different angle. That’s why we launched the ISG KnowledgeBase last year.
Since then, the ISG KnowledgeBase has become very popular – a useful resource for both our clients and other iMIS users. It documents the products, integrations, utilities, and tools we build to support associations using iMIS.
The ISG KnowledgeBase includes helpful tips, product documentation, and practical guidance for ISG’s software and integrations. These tools and utilities cover events, education, webinars, single sign-on, documents, order fulfillment, and other operational needs.
The easiest way to think about the two resources is this:
The ASI Documentation Hub is the source for official ASI product documentation.
The ISG KnowledgeBase is the source for documentation on ISG products, integrations, add-ons, and tools.
And when your situation requires more than documentation, ISG is here to help.
