1. What is your relationship with ASI?
We have an excellent relationship with ASI. We are a
fully authorized iMIS Solution Provider (AiSP) and are deeply
committed to supporting iMIS clients. Development of ISGweb offers a
win-win situation for both ISG and ASI:
-
ISGweb protects the client's investment in iMIS
since it allows iMIS clients to get more functionality from
their existing iMIS database.
-
ISGweb does not cut into ASI's revenues, since clients need to
buy the iMIS Business Objects (iBOs). What ISGweb replaces is the
implementation and customization labor costs required to make either the
e-Series or iBOs effective in a website.
2. What is ISGweb?
ISGweb for iMIS is a suite of standardized Web modules developed by
ISG Solutions that offers real-time iMIS integration for an
association's core Web processes, using a comprehensive set of data-driven forms
embedded in the association's main website.
3. What are the differences between ISGweb and other solutions?
ISGweb is designed based on years of ISG's hands-on consulting experience in the
association marketplace. The depth of functionality offered by ISGweb is
unparalleled because ISG has spent years listening to our association clients and building custom solutions to meet their needs.
Low risk, high ROI
Because ISGweb is a packaged product, the implementation timeline is predictable,
and there is low risk to you. ISGweb is sold at a fixed price which includes both
the price of the software and the cost of the implementation, so there are no
surprises during implementation. In fact, because ISGweb's functionality is
clearly defined, there is no need for a preliminary design and analysis
engagement to determine the scope of the project. And the ISGweb suite of modules
costs less than custom-designed Web pages.
Because ISGweb separates the presentation layer from the business logic, you won't
need to retool custom Web pages when it's time to upgrade. ISGweb brings increased
user Web activity, customer satisfaction and staff efficiencies by leveragingand
enhancingthe investment you've already made in your website, making it
maintainable for years to come.
Advanced application technology
ISGweb uses the .NET framework technology. Because ISGweb uses the new .NET Web
services and the C# language, there are no add-on costs for Cold Fusion servers
and licensing.
4. Does ISGweb replace the e-Series?
Yes it does. You do not need the e-Series in order to run ISGweb, and the
functionality of ISGweb covers all of the e-Series, except for e-Content Management.
What ISGweb does require is that you have licenses to ASI's iBOs
in order to integrate with iMIS. If you already own the
e-Series, ASI automatically grants you licenses to the iBOs that correspond to
each of the e-Series modules, so no further purchase is required. If you
do not have e-Series licenses, you must purchase iBO licenses from ASI or your
reseller in order to run ISGweb.
5. How long does it take to implement ISGweb?
ISGweb takes between 90 and 120 days to launch.
6. Do you need to come to my office to implement
ISGweb?
No.
7. Did ASI give ISG permission to develop
ISGweb?
The development of the iBOs was motivated by ASI's desire to empower its Authorized
iMIS Solution Providers (AiSPs)
to develop innovative solutions that extend the scope of iMIS and
take advantage of a newly open and "extensible" architecture.
ISG went through a thorough certification program administered by ASI in order
to be authorized to build iBO-based solutions.
8. Does ISG have a live demo site we can
click through?
No, ISGweb does not set up its own web infrastructure; it has been designed to
work within our clients' home sites. Several of our clients have volunteered their
live websites for you to browse and we will be happy to provide directions to those sites.
9. What is included in the price of ISGweb?
ISGweb is offered for a fixed price that includes not only the software but also all
implementation costs.
10. Is the ISGweb pricing based on my iMIS license?
No.
11. If we don't need all the modules included with
ISGweb, can we get a discount?
Associations that don't need all of the modules can purchase just the core modules
plus the specific additional modules that are needed.
12. What is the annual maintenance fee for
ISGweb?
The fee is 20 percent of the current list price of the software. The first
year of maintenance is included in the purchase price.
13. When is my first maintenance payment due?
It would be due one year from the date you purchased ISGweb.
14. What if I already have the e-Series? Can I get a
discount?
No, because you need ASI's iBOs. ISGweb uses the ASI-authorized
iMIS business logic integration to protect the integrity of your
iMIS system.
15. Do we have to continue to pay the ASI
maintenance fee for the e-Series modules?
Yes you do. The maintenance fee for the e-Series modules also covers
upgrades for the iBOs, and this is essential for ISGweb to keep its integration
layer up to date with changes in iMIS and to take advantage of new
features offered in iMIS over time.
16. What supporting software is required for
ISGweb?
ISGweb is compatible with iMIS 10.4 for Microsoft SQL Server and requires a
dedicated .NET server, the appropriate iBOs and VeriSign's PayFlow Pro for
online credit card authorization.
17. What is ISGweb written in?
ISGweb uses the new .NET Web services and the C# language.
18. Does ISGweb replace the navigation and architecture of our
website?
No. ISGweb modules open in a new window within your website.
19. I maintain several websites connected to my association's
main website. Can ISGweb be implemented across multiple websites?
Yes.
20. How does ISGweb work with my existing website? Does
ISGweb replace my website?
ISGweb does not replace your website. ISGweb uses your website infrastructure
instead of imposing its own. You use your own graphical template, security and
navigation to insert ISGweb's iMIS-integrated forms directly into your
websitewherever you need them.
21. Will the .NET release of iMIS replace your
ISGweb product?
No. ISGweb will be compatible with the .NET release of iMIS.
22. When will we get our hands on the
software to begin to work on the integration to our site? How is the
4-month timeline broken out into tasks?
The implementation of ISGweb consists of several distinct phases:
-
After the kickoff meeting, ISG conducts an initial
consultation phase in which we go through all of the ISGweb processes with
your decision-making representatives and gather information on your
preferences, iMIS configurations and business rules.
During these meetings, we will also identify areas where you need to make
decisions about how you want to incorporate ISGweb in your site.
-
ISG uses those technical specifications to adjust the ISGweb
configuration settings, security group criteria, and develop the custom
scripts needed to implement those unique requirements. During this
technical development period we will be working offsite, but we will conduct
periodic status meetings for follow-up questions and clarifications.
-
At the same time that ISG is working on the configuration of
ISGweb, your webmaster and colleagues will be making decisions about where to
place the ISGweb links, modifying your website structure to flow as you
desire, and adding data to iMIS as needed to power online
functionality. ISG will meet with you during this phase to provide you
with training needed to implement ISGweb in your own site, including a list of
the URL links you can use.
-
ISG will present a prototype of the fully configured ISGweb
implementation about one month before go-live, and you will have to make a
copy of your site and move it to a testing server, where ISGweb will also be
installed. We will also map ISGweb to integrate with a test copy of your
iMIS database. At this point in the process, you will
have a live copy of the full application, and you may proceed with user
acceptance testing. If you change your mind about the way ISGweb works
with your site during this testing phase, you may easily move the links and
navigation.
-
The final phase includes the marketing roll-out to your
users and post-launch support from ISG. The actual go-live process
takes less than a day, and involves a cut-over from the test server to the
production server, for the website and also for the iMIS
integration.
