Nominations and Voting
ISGweb Nominations and Voting makes it easy to manage the committee
nomination and voting process.
Nomination forms are fully customizable, and use information drawn directly
from iMIS. Nomination forms can be made available on the public website or in a
Committee Workspace. The forms include the ability to search for a nominee from
iMIS by name, select committee position(s) to nominate for, enter comments, and
upload images, resumes and other attachments. Nominations can be
administratively reviewed and approved before names are added to the ballot.
Ballots list the slate of candidates approved for the current ballot, grouped
by position. Each nominee is listed with a checkbox for the member to vote, and
selected information from the nominee's iMIS profile.
Voting can be offered online, with voting data stored in iMIS,
where it becomes part of committee activity records.
Management forms, which are only accessible by committee leadership, provide
the ability to:
- Set up nomination detail fields for recording in
iMIS.
- Review nominees for a particular voting cycle,
including both nominees collected via the online nomination form and
nominees entered by staff directly into iMIS. Approve or
reject selected names.
- Prepare a slate of nominees for the ballot, selecting
applicable committees and positions, setting voting rules for each position,
and publishing to committee members for a specified time (leadership-only
function).
- Review a report showing vote tallies for all nominees,
so it is clear who reached the required threshold for approval.
